If you have an WiFi version then there are two possibilities:
Make sure your unit is connected to the same network and that it is correctly configured.
It is in Ad-Hoc mode, first connect to the device with your WiFi
It is not connected to the same network as your Mac or iPhone / iPad is, connect it to the same network and try again
By request from Global Caché iHelp for Mac (OS X and iOS) only supports units from the Global Caché brand.

Linux is not supported, sorry. I am thinking about making Android versions, but I am not sure yet...
